I completely understand you situation-shower doors and that soap scum can make a nice bath an ordeal of a cleaning fiasco. I even got an apartment with glass doors that were so foggy I was able to think they were frosted! What, at last, rescued me? An organic combination of white vinegar and baking soda.

I sprayed the glass with warm vinegar and allowed it to remain there for 10 minutes, after which I scrubbed it with baking soda on a sponge. The fizz was magic, and those doors shone with a new look after a rinse and wipe down using a microfiber cloth. Boom!

A bit of elbow grease was necessary to clean that one but it was easy to clean up after that, I simply wipe it quickly once a week with that same solution and I can no longer see anything more like scum!

In the shower, I also have a half blue Dawn dish soap, half white vinegar filled dishwasher to make my life easier every day. Once I get out of a hot shower (the steam aids in breaking open everything), I wipe the doors and then rinse. Works like a charm, and no clog up! I even had my couch potato of a roommate do it; it is not that difficult. And one last advice? Have a squeegee close and swipe it over the doors after each time you shower. It is the smallest habit, however, which keeps

But, on the other hand, I discovered that dishwashing with the help of the dishwashing wand, the thing you put the sponge on the end of, and the handle you can fill, changes the game as well, as long as you want to use a bit less elbow grease.

I put half vinegar, half dish soap, though my dish soap of choice is the blue Dawn. Between each couple of showers, when the glass is still wet,

I wipe the doors with that quickly and rinse them. It prevents too much soap scum comfort. Bonus tip? A squeegee or (just a simple, dry, dull-looking towel) drying the glass after every shower takes 20 seconds, but it makes such a difference. Believe me, the later you will be admonished. Write to me about how it turns out, and good luck on fighting that bullheaded soap stink!
